Elisha House offers Christ-centred and confidential healing groups for the following issues:
Sexual Abuse Recovery (Shelter from the Storm)
"Sexual abuse is one of the few crimes that brings more shame to the victim than to the offender (Dan Allendar, 1992)." The wounds and struggles that follow are often as difficult to deal with as the original abuse. Many people who have experienced violation feel alone, confused, depressed, and sometimes as if they are going crazy. "Shelter from the Storm" sexual abuse healing group provides a supportive environment that acknowledges your suffering, provides concrete ways to express your painful experience to God, and encourages the healing process through small steps of faith.
Post Abortion
The unwanted pregnancy and the subsequent abortion may be far behind you, but the memories of that painful experience still tear at your soul. The "Forgiven And Set Free" Bible Study offers help and hope to woman who now regret having had an abortion.
Biblical Peacemaking
This group study is from Peacemaker Ministries. We offer practical biblical guidance for conflict resolution that takes participants beyond resolving conflicts to true reconciliation with family, coworkers, and fellow believers.
Uprooting Anger
Everyone experiences anger, but few of us handle it in a Christ-centered way. In this biblically-based, practical guide to anger management, the focus is on changing the underlying motivations and beliefs of the heart that drive angry behavior. By uprooting these heart problems, participants will learn to handle their anger and see the fruit of thorough and lasting change.
